How will the bisacodyl in Dulcolax tablets relieve my constipation?
Dulcolax tablets each contain 5mg of an active ingredient called bisacodyl, which is a type of medication called a stimulant laxative. Ingredients
Active ingredients: Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 5 mg bisacodyl.
Also contains: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, sucrose, glycerol, magnesium stearate, talc, acacia, white beeswax, shellac, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide (E171), yellow iron oxide (E172), methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer, castor oil, macrogol 6000.

Please read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.
Dosage: Adults and children over 12 years: Take one or two tablets daily before bedtime.
If you have not taken Dulcolax before, start with one tablet and increase to two if necessary.
Swallow tablets whole, with water.
Do not take more medicine than the label tells you to.
Should not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 18 years.
Advisory Information
Caution: If laxatives are needed for more than five days in a row, or if symptoms persist, in particular if you have persistent abdominal pain or are passing blood, consult your doctor.
Do not take if you have an intestinal obstruction, an inflammatory gastrointestinal disorder, or severe dehydration, or if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breast-feeding.
